In the first of CVFR junior champs races the club were were well represented in most age groups as they vied for early champs points against their team mates. The talented Jack Denton made a great start claiming 1^st place in the under 16s race in a time of 13 min 57secs and with team mates Martin Howard in 4^th (15:13) and an improving Matthew Murray in 12^th (18.37) had there been a team prize the lads would easily have claimed it. Another talented fell running family going by the surname of Baldero saw Jude placing 6^{th (}8min 52secs)in the under 10s while sister Matilda had raced hard to take 9^th girls place in the under 8s. These placing ensured maximum club champs points for the pair. Other notable club results in the under 10s were 8^th Eilo Beezley 9.02, 12^th William Hall (without fell shoes on!!!) 9.17, 16^th Beth Blacker 9.37 and 17^th Joseph Hobbs 9.40. In the under 12s race 24^th place for Jed Denneny 9.29 and  29^th Korah McGeoch 9.48
